There's nothing quite like the sound of a starting horn echoing across Lake Charlevoix on a Tuesday evening. Whether you're a seasoned racer or just getting your sea legs, the BCYC Tuesday Night Race Series is where competitive spirit meets good company.
The series runs May through October, with racing every Tuesday night on Lake Charlevoix. The season is divided into three series — Spring, Summer, and Fall — giving sailors plenty of chances to find their rhythm, improve their times, and settle a few friendly rivalries.
The series welcomes mono-hull boats 19 feet and longer, as well as multi-hull boats 17 feet and longer, across two divisions: Jib & Main and Spinnaker. Both classes are handicapped using MWPHRF ratings, so boats of all sizes and speeds are racing on a level playing field.
Looking for a little extra competition? The season also features three weekend races — two regattas and the Sloman Race — for sailors who want to push beyond the weekly series.
